Personal Information
As a professor of Corporate Communication, I regularly teach Corp Comm I and II, Influence and Persuasion, and Organizational Communication. Another class I love to teach that draws on my previous pastoral experience, is Communication and Preaching.
Besides teaching, I enjoy my '83 El Camino SS, computers and electronics, reading mysteries, and sci-fi, following ASU baseball, KU basketball (and football for both), watching movies that play with the gray cells and studying semiotics.
Kay and I live a short walk from campus and have a dog named Gracie that "communicates."
Some favorite movies: Hoosiers, Signs, Stranger than Fiction, The Village.
Some favorite music: Patty Griffin, Over the Rhine, Buddy and Julie Miller, Richard Shindell. (ALWAYS on the lookout for more, so feel free to enlighten/expand the list.)
Random bio factoid: before becoming a university professor, I worked as a banker, pastor, and as a BLM firefighter in the wild west.
