Taylor University has announced that Rev. Greg Dyson will take on the role of campus pastor, in an expanded position as the new Vice President for Spiritual Life and Intercultural Leadership. Dyson currently serves as Vice President for Intercultural Leadership and Church Relations.

“Greg is well known to our campus and has become a valued colleague to all of us since arriving at Taylor in 2019,” said President D. Michael Lindsay. “I am grateful for his deep experience in preaching and pastoral ministry, his track record of navigating tough and tense situations, and his godly judgment.”

In his time at Taylor, Dyson has provided Cabinet-level direction for intercultural leadership and church relations while also teaching on campus, preaching at area churches, and representing Taylor to a variety of constituents. As Vice President for Spiritual Life and Intercultural Leadership, Dyson will continue to provide Cabinet-level oversight for these areas while also assuming many of the current responsibilities associated with the campus pastor role.

Dyson was the unanimous top choice of the Senior Leadership Team after an extremely competitive search process that included over forty applicants. Significant input was received from an advisory group of faculty and staff and a select group of campus and student leaders who assisted Vice President of Student Development Skip Trudeau in the search.

Reverend Dyson came to Taylor after serving at Cedarville University, his alma mater.  In addition to multiple pastoral leadership roles as an ordained minister, Dyson served on the strategic team for the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association and founded the Lion's Den Youth Outreach Center (now the Hope for Kids Den) in Massachusetts, among other leadership roles.
