Taylor University Lyric Theatre presents "The Musical Theatre of Kurt Weill: A Celebration in Song and Dance" on March 31 and April 1 at 7 pm in the Butz Carruth Recital Hall in the Smith-Hermanson Music Center.

The program features solos, duets, dance numbers, and ensembles composed by one of the most influential musicians in American musical theatre history. Kurt Weill collaborated with renowned lyricists including Ira Gershwin, Oscar Hammerstein, Langston Hughes, Ogden Nash, Bertolt Brecht, and Maxwell Anderson.

Audiences will appreciate the ingenious variety of Weill's flexible style, which reflects the influences of jazz, blues, Broadway-style musical theatre, and opera, on a program that includes the favorites "Mack the Knife," "Surabaya Johnny," "September Song," and "My Ship."

Admission is free.
