Pastor, author, and Taylor Alumnus JR Briggs is the featured speaker for Spiritual Renewal Week services this week at Taylor University, starting Wednesday, February 14.

Spiritual Renewal Week takes place two times a year on the Taylor campus—first during the opening weeks of the fall semester and second, during the opening weeks of the spring semester.

“These services are designed to provide an opportunity for the Taylor community to renew and refocus spiritually and to prepare for the upcoming semester,” said Lori Heath, Assistant for Campus Ministries. “This opportunity allows speakers to dig deeper into scripture and into their topics and for the Taylor community to be challenged and encouraged in their spiritual growth.”

Briggs, a 2001 Taylor alumnus, lives in the greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area. He is a pastor of The Renewal Community and founder of Kairos Partnerships, an organization that works to teach and train leaders of the church to be equipped and prepared to serve in ministry with one another. He is also author of Fail: Finding Hope and Grace in the Midst of Ministry Failure.

Spiritual Renewal services will be held Wednesday and Friday during the 10 am chapel hour, Wednesday evening at 6:30, and Thursday evening at 7:30. All services are in the Rediger Chapel/Auditorium.
