Heritage Weekend 2019 Invites Alumni and Friends to Special Campus Events

Taylor University’s Heritage Weekend 2019 a time set aside to celebrate the legacy and mission of Taylor University with alumni and friends, will take place Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.

The events begin with Friday’s annual Grandparents Day as hundreds of grandparents of current Taylor University students come to campus. The schedule includes chapel at 10 am in the Rediger Chapel Auditorium and continues throughout the day as grandparents visit classes, tour the campus and residence halls, and participate in a meet-and-greet reception with Taylor President Lowell Haines and his wife Sherry from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the Bond Plaza. At 4 pm in the Butz-Carruth Recital Hall, the Taylor Orchestra and other musical groups from the Department of Music, Theatre & Dance will perform. Grandparents can also enjoy Taylor Theatre’s The MouseTrap, presented at 8 pm in the Mitchell Theatre.

Heritage Weekend continues Saturday, with Chords of Love—a Chorale Reunion Concert at 1:30 pm in the Rediger Chapel Auditorium, softball games, along with private scholarship and donor events, concluding at 7:30 pm with the Saturday showing of The Mouse Trap in the Mitchell Theatre.
