About

Todd Sterken joined the Taylor University Advancement team as Regional Director of Development in 2026. With a background in corporate communication and public relations, he has been a professional fundraiser since 2012. He has served non-profits large and small in a variety of sectors including arts & culture, healthcare, higher education, and classical K-12 education.

Todd was introduced to Taylor during his eldest daughter’s admissions experience. He was drawn to the ambitious vision, servant leadership, and commitment to biblical faithfulness he consistently encountered. Now he is thrilled to help alumni, parents, and friends to partner with Taylor in developing servant-leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ’s redemptive love, grace, and truth to a world in need.

Todd and his wife, Cara, live in rural northwest Ohio. They have two adult daughters who attend Taylor and a son. Outside of work, Todd enjoys being active outdoors with his family, baking sourdough bread, and spending time at Miracle Camp and Retreat Center where he serves on the Board.
