Director of the PREACH Initiative
Tim McConnell is the inaugural director of the PREACH Initiative at Taylor University. He also serves as the Lead Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs conjointly. Tim has been in ordained ministry since 1999, serving churches, campus ministries and the US Army Reserve. He has been privileged to share the Word of God in preaching among churches large and small in the US and a number of countries, including Kenya, Egypt, Cuba and Mongolia. He is the author of Happy Church: Pursuing Radical Joy as the People of God (IVPress, 2016) as well as Illumination in Basil of Caesarea's Doctrine of the Holy Spirit (Fortress Press, 2014).

Tim lives in Colorado with his wife, Abigail. He has two children who are out of the house, one son in the class of 2029 at Taylor, and a son at home in high school. He loves fly fishing, skiiing, hiking, and all the outdoor stuff.
