My name is Janet Rogers, University Registrar at Taylor University. I came to Taylor in 2008. I started out as a High School Business teacher, teaching until I decided to stay home with my children. My family moved to Indiana where I began my career in higher Education serving different roles within a Registrar’s Office setting. I had found what I enjoyed—working with college students. Coming to Taylor was one of the best decisions I have made professionally. I noticed right away that there was something different about Taylor students. It took me a while to figure out why—I believe they are here “on purpose” to get the best Education and preparation. There are many details involved with my position but when I have opportunity to work with a student; that is what I love most. I’m grateful to work in a place where I can not only work with a student academically but have opportunities to mentor and pray with them. I always encourage students (and parents) to seek out the Registrar’s Office for answers to the questions they have—no question is too small or unimportant. We are here to assist in any way we can.
Oversee the functional responsibilities of the Registrar's Office including: registration, grading, degree conferral, verification and validation of educational status for both internal and external reporting purposes; FERPA compliance; assisting with formulation of academic policies; maintenance of student information system database; and supervision of Registrar Office staff. The Registrar serves on the Deans Council, Academic Policies Committee and Curriculum Committee.
