Emily Clementz

Biography

During my time at Taylor as an undergraduate, I found a sweet home in this place and the surrounding community. This is largely due to its resemblance to the tight-knit community in which I grew up as a missionary kid in Papua New Guinea. The Lord graciously opened the door for me to remain in Upland after graduation, working and taking classes part-time in Taylor's Transition to Teaching graduate program. The reasons for remaining in Upland continue to reveal themselves, the most recent being this opportunity to fill the need for Bergwall's Interim Hall Director. I am honored to join a team of strong, godly leaders as we serve the residents of Bergwall together. I lived in Bergwall for two years during undergrad, so this is somewhat of a homecoming for me.

In my free time, I enjoy being active outdoors, working with my hands doing carpentry or building, and playing music. I also love a good cup of coffee or tea on a quiet morning or shared with a friend over quality conversation, especially conversation surrounding Jesus, His Kingdom, and our role in it as His co-heirs and Bride.
