Biography

Welcome to Taylor! As the Coordinator of New Student Orientation (NSO), I am delighted to be part of your transition to Taylor and your journey of belonging in this community. Over the last ten years, I have served in higher education in student success, residence life, and study abroad. My husband Logan and I have worked and lived overseas twice, first in Christchurch, New Zealand, and then Greystones, Ireland. We now live in Marion, Indiana, with our two daughters, Rosemary and Elliott. I love coffee, baking, the outdoors, and cross-cultural experiences.

I first came to Taylor in 2015 to study in the Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Development (MAHE). Upon graduation, I worked as the on-site director of the Irish Studies Programme. My new role as Coordinator of NSO kicks off my sixth year working for Taylor. I have always been drawn to Taylor for its commitment to meaningful, intentional, and thoughtful student development work.

Students, you are joining a life-giving and inspiring community of learners who are committed to loving God and loving others in all aspects of life (academic, spiritual, communal). I hope you come with big expectations as well as openness to your time at Taylor. In this transition, we deeply desire for you to feel known and seen in this place. Expect to be both supported and challenged. Know that you have much to learn but also much to offer to your peers, faculty, and this community. We’re so glad you’re here.
