Analiesa Smith

Biography

Being a child of a career Air Force father, I have traveled the globe and have worn many professional hats. Dean of academics, children's minister, homeschool mom, teacher, fitness instructor, clown, childcare manager, are only a few of the roles that have uniquely prepared me for varied nature of my position at Taylor University.

As a former educator and minister, I recognize the pivotal mission of the gospel to "go and make disciples of all nations." This does not happen in a vacuum and requires intentionality in developing authentic relationships. One of my passions is getting to know people where they are at and helping them obtain their goals. My teaching career has taken me from Illinois to Alaska, Michigan to Indiana, and across the pond to the United Kingdom. I believe that my formal teaching and administrative experience, as well as international missions work, local outreaches, and disaster relief have equipped me with the unique perspective needed to be an active guide for the students and families at Taylor, connecting with the whole person for the glory of God.

I am the proud wife of Steven Smith, the step-mom of an USAF Airman Ethan and current Taylor student Isabella, and momma of a Liberty Christian School 1st grader Hannah. I most enjoy spending time with family, travel, long talks, adventuring with my little one, researching family genealogy, and helping my husband with his varied writing projects.
