Associate Professor of Biology
I was born in the UK and have lived in Canada, Philadelphia, Wyoming, and Kansas. I graduated from Sterling College with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. I attended Kansas University School of Medicine for two years before I finally heard what God had been saying to me: "You are to be an educator not a doctor." My undergraduate advisor was integral in helping me make this decision and choosing Ball State University to learn how to be a biologist and college professor.
I love guiding students to understand the form and function of the human body and helping them prepare for medical careers. Students discover their academic talents and abilities during their college experience, and it is so rewarding to walk alongside them and help them find opportunities to serve in the ways God has called them.
Outside of the classroom, I love to cook, garden, landscape, and travel.
