Career Accomplishments

Leandra served as a high school counselor for 10 years—eight in public schools and two at a Christian school, where she developed the school’s first high school counseling program. Between her years in secondary education, she worked in higher education as an academic advisor for the University of Phoenix in Continuing Teacher Education and later at the University of Texas at Tyler, advising students in the Health and Kinesiology and Business departments. She eventually returned to high school counseling in Texas before moving back to Indiana.

About

An Upland native and Taylor University graduate, Leandra never expected to return to Taylor—but is grateful for how the Lord directed her path back home. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, following sports (especially football), traveling, serving with youth at church, and reading.
