Hall Director On-Call
Hutson Hohlbein is the Hall Director On-Call at Taylor University and Interim Director of Adult Ministries at Upland Community Church. Formerly a student-athlete at Taylor University, he studied Political Science, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) with a minor in Intercultural Studies and Missions. Hutson was a wide receiver on the football team and served as a captain and a member of the team’s Servant-Leadership Council for over two seasons. Hutson also served as a Presidential Fellow under President Michael Lindsay and as a Personnel Assistant (PA) for three years. During his time at Taylor, Hutson accumulated several accolades, such as the 2023-2024 Taylor University Citizenship Award, 2022 Academic All-American honors, and the Taylor University Merit in Leadership Award. Hutson is originally from Adrian, Michigan, and enjoys volunteering at LIFT, an afterschool education program in Upland. He has worked as a legislative intern for the 57th District of the Michigan House of Representatives and as an international security intern at Samaritan’s Purse. Between his work at Samaritan's Purse and other leadership opportunities at Taylor, Hutson has spent time in Ethiopia, Spain, and Greece. Hutson has a strong interest in the intersection of faith and culture and is excited about Taylor's active global engagement.
