Over 20 years of industry experience as a backend computer programmer, working on various systems and platforms, including IBM mainframes, modern servers, and cloud technologies (AWS)
Languages include COBOL, Java, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and MySQL
Experience designing, testing, and coding improvements to backend systems both in code and by redesigning databases
Experience designing and teaching many IT-related courses in online and face-to-face modalities to adults and traditional students since 2006
Two years of experience as a program director and faculty member for Indiana Wesleyan University while working on my doctorate

In addition to being a strong believer in the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, whom I have gotten to know and love since my first year of university, I am also passionate about computers and technology. My greatest desire is to see the next generation of technologists apply biblical wisdom in the design and use of all kinds of technology to serve humanity.

For fun, I enjoy reading, listening to music, hiking, and playing golf, tennis, and pickleball. I also enjoy drinking good coffee (flat white).
