Biography

Psalm 23:3 shares “He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name” (NLT). While serving in my eleventh year as a teacher to missionary kids in Papua New Guinea, God prompted me to consider a new path—teaching mathematics at Taylor University. Though it didn’t seem possible that the pieces could fall together, God worked out the details to bring me halfway around the world to teach at Taylor. Having attended the Taylor honors program for high school students many years ago, I had a high opinion of how God was working through the University. Though my ministry in Papua New Guinea was to teach mathematics at the middle grades and high school levels, I’ve taught mathematics at the university level at several universities in the United States.

While following Christ may take us to a remote place like Papua New Guinea, it can also mean humbly using our gifts wherever He may place us. It is an honor to be back at Taylor University after so many years. I am trusting that following this right path will bring honor to God.

Hobbies

I enjoy playing the piano for personal worship or to accompany others. I am a novice do-it-yourselfer with home repairs and remodeling. My wife and I enjoy gardening and landscaping.
