Career Highlights

As it says in Proverbs 21:31, it is my job to make ready the horse for battle, but victory rests in the Lord. Throughout my time as an Army officer, leader in entrepreneurial business ventures, and as a higher education professional, the work of helping soldiers, associates, and students realize their fullness in who God created them to be, has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career life.

Biography

Advice for Incoming Freshman

Relax and know that your choices of university, your major, or your first job, do not define you. I encourage you to make seeking and depending on God as automatic as breathing. Purposely search for opportunities to make a difference and engage. Then, use what you learn from these experiences in submission to Holy Spirit, to determine next steps.

How I Came to Taylor

As my kids started going to college, my wife and I asked God, “What’s next?”, and we received a clear call to higher education. Little did we know that it would be Taylor University in Upland, IN. God is so good!

Hobbies

Andrea and I love to engage with young people as they navigate the early years of adulthood. When I can, I love to river fish for salmon in Alaska. Trout in lakes and streams in the Northwest is a close second.
