Biography

Hobbies

He and his wife Martha both enjoy hiking, camping, and the great outdoors. His hobbies include the Appalachian Dulcimer, swimming, Star Trek, and garden gnomes. He has always wanted to teach, and is excited to start out his college teaching career helping Taylor students become passionate about electrical engineering. It’s the McClurg family goal to help students discover the joy of worshiping God through work, no matter what their expertise or occupation.

Major Career Accomplishments

Josiah received a BS and an MS degree from the University of Iowa, another MS degree from the University of Illinois and a PhD form the University of Iowa. His experience includes working as a programmer at Rockwell Collins, an electronics hardware junkie at the University of Illinois, a big data wrangler at the University of Iowa, and a K-12 STEM educator at several different organizations.
