Career Accomplishments

My career has taken me through a wide range of creative settings, from the studio and professional art world to education and commercial creative work. I earned my BA in Studio Art from Taylor University and my MFA in Printmaking from the Savannah College of Art and Design. My printmaking and drawing work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Atlanta and is held in institutional, private, and public collections. My commissioned work has included large-scale drawings for SCAD and a recent series of woodcuts exploring the ministry of Jesus.

After graduate school, I worked in New York as an art installation specialist and later as a registrar with Sotheby's, gaining firsthand experience with exhibitions, collections, curators, and specialists. For more than a decade, my professional creative work has included technical illustration, instructional design, visual communication, and creative leadership, with projects for major clients including Rolls-Royce, Motorola, and Adobe.

Teaching has been a consistent part of my career, including K-12 art education, undergraduate printmaking at SCAD, and oil painting at Taylor. I now bring these experiences together in the studio classroom, helping students develop as artists while understanding the many ways creative skills can be put to work.

About

I’m grateful to be returning to Taylor, where I was formed as an artist and where my journey of art and faith really began. It’s an honor to now teach in the department that was such an important part of my own education.

I live in Noblesville with my wife, our four kids, and our dog, Sunny. Our church home is Genesis Church, where I have also played electric guitar with the worship band for more than twelve years. I love literature, folklore, mythology, and music. Each winter we make maple syrup, which has become a favorite family tradition.
