Prior to graduating from Taylor University, I was hired as US Senator Todd Young's assistant scheduler. I was hired into this role to fill a maternity role from April to September. After the woman returned from her maternity leave, I transitioned to fully working for the Senator's re-election campaign as his Deputy Digital Director. I was in that role from September 2021–April 2022. I currently serve as the Senator's Digital Director and Deputy Press Secretary in his DC office.

My advisor believed in me from the very beginning. When I came in and told her I wanted to be President of the United States, she didn't bat an eye, she just set out to make sure I was on the right path. She was in my corner and cared about my success both professionally and spiritually. Another professor was influential in helping me see the world in a new perspective. He was always kind and steadfast, challenging me in my studies. Ultimately, Taylor profs were consistent in showing up in my life and caring about me. They made it known that they cared about me as an individual and believed in me, which in turn made me want to believe in myself.
