A schedule of events for 2013 will be available this summer. We look forward to seeing you for Parents & Family Weekend 2013, October 4-6! Here’s a look at Parents & Family Weekend 2012: 

Friday, October 5 – Sunday, October 7

Taylor University isn’t just about the four years your student spends on campus; it’s about the forty years that follow.

Parents and Family Weekend provides the opportunity for you to share in some of the experiences and discussions your son and/or daughter is having: in residence life, in extracurricular activities, in worship and in the classroom. Come and encourage your student as he or she embraces being a part of Taylor’s community.

Come and BE encouraged as you have the unique opportunity to do “life together” with your student in the midst of their residence hall community. Experience first-hand how this intentional discipleship program is helping to shape your student into the person God has called them to be.

Residence Life

Join your student in a Taylor pick-a-date, floor/wing events or hall worship! The residence life team is coordinating a weekend full of experiences that will allow you to see the community that surrounds your student. Check out our schedule to see all the details!

Cardboard Boat Regatta

Pit your creativity against others as you figure out how to get cardboard, plastic sheets and duct tape to survive a voyage out onto Taylor lake.

Watch some of the highlights from last year’s nautical battle to get a feel for this thrilling event. Sign up your family team to participate in our annual boat regatta – Saturday, October 6, at 11:30 am.

Athletic Events

Whether it's intramurals, Fun in the Fieldhouse, our annual 5k run, or Gameday for the Trojans under the lights at the new stadium, you will have many opportunities to participate in athletic activities with your student. Check out our full schedule for all the details!

Other Highlights

Tour Euler Complex Our new Euler Science Complex embodies so much of what Taylor prioritizes: sustainability, stewardship, community interaction and service. Don’t miss your chance to tour this unique facility!

All Campus Worship On Sunday morning, you will have the opportunity to participate in a parent prayer time at 9:00 am at our Memorial Prayer Chapel, and then an all campus worship service in Rediger Chapel at 10:00 am. You will not want to miss the opportunity to worship with your student – you will soon find out how Taylor’s chapel experience is unforgettable!
