Acted as a field instructor in personally training at least ten seminary students (fulfilling their Field Ed requirements) in evangelism and follow-up skills on the campus of Southern Methodist University (‘78-’80) and in the local community setting (‘80-’83).  Taught Sunday School classes ranging from pre-school to sixth grade at South Garland Bible Church.  Texas Sunday School Associa­tion seminar leader in 1981 on “Basic Training for Neigh­bor­hood Evangelism.”

 

1974-78 - Campus Crusade for Christ

Four years as a campus missionary on Campus Crusade for Christ staff at American University in Wash., D.C., three of which I served as the Campus Director of a five member staff team.  During this time I also taught the College and Career Class at McLean Bible Church, McLean, VA, and then (after marrying and moving into the District of Columbia) at National Presbyterian Church.  I also served for two years as director of training on the Evangelism Committee at National Presbyterian under Dr. Louis Evans.  In addition to my responsibilities of planning and directing the Campus Crusade campus ministry and leading my staff team, I was involved in personal and group evangelism, training and mentoring college students, guest classroom lecturing, and speaking at conferences.  In the summer and fall of 1976 I worked with twenty Wash., D.C. pastors and churches in the Campus Crusade sponsored Here’s Life America “I Found It!” evangelistic mass media campaign.
