Overview
For more than 35 years Taylor's Lighthouse program has enabled students to spend their Interterm studying and serving around the world, experiencing the joys and challenges of cross-cultural ministry.
Several teams are recruited in the spring for the following January. A fall course (one credit hour) in cross-cultural ministry prepares each team for the field experience. In January, students engage in service projects, compassionate ministries, community development, teaching English, performing arts, evangelism, discipleship and other ministries under the direction of faculty sponsors and hosts.
During January, students earn three cross-cultural credit hours through hands-on outreach, study and reflection.
Taylor University strives for excellence in all short-term mission programs and is a charter member of the Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission initiative.

And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. - Isaiah 58:10
