"What is there to do at Taylor?" 

It could take hours to answer this question. There are ongoing student activities, events, and service opportunities that happen on campus throughout the year. Feel free to check the campus calendar just to see how many events there are to attend in any given day. While Taylor students are creative and able to turn a game of tag into a full week of activity (ask someone about Melon and Gourd), we want to introduce you to just a few of the traditional all-campus events unique to Taylor.

Airband
A fun-filled lip synch and choreography contest. Besides choreographed performances, students act in live or filmed skits and create commercials that fit with the theme of the night. Each fall hundreds of students participate in Airband and hundreds more students, faculty and family members attend the show.

Silent Night / Habecker's Hallipalooza
Begins at the Ivanhoes Classic basketball game when students and faculty wear pajamas to "silent night" (the crowd remains silent until Taylor scores its 10th point of the game). The game is followed by a campus-wide Christmas party where students gather in the dining commons to eat Christmas cookies, hear the president read the Christmas story, and compete in gingerbread house competitions.

Taylathon
The men's and women's bicycle race with over 30 years of history that takes place on the sidewalks in the middle of campus. Teams are made up of eight male and female riders from each class. Riders exchange their bikes to teammates in an exciting fashion after each lap until completion of the race.

My Generation Night
Showcases the amazing musical student talent on campus. Students audition for the show by performing songs less than 20 years old. MGN is also a themed show that includes student skits, student commercials and amazing sets.

Nostalgia Night
Another live performance that highlights student musical talent. Students perform songs that must be at least 20 years old. Nostalgia Nights has a theme that fits the time period of the music in the show and includes student skits, commercials and fun outfits.
