The Mid-Central College Conference recognized 45 Taylor University student-athletes Thursday from 14 conference sports on the 2008-09 MCC Academic All-Conference Team.

Taylor University's athletics media guides have been honored for excellence in the annual publications contests conducted by the NAIA-Sports Information Directors Association and the College Sports Information Directors of America.

This past week the Taylor University men's basketball team kicked off its 53rd summer of basketball camps. Over 100 kids between the ages of eight and 16 flooded the campus for a week of basketball and fun.

Taylor Kinzer achieved a lifelong dream Wednesday afternoon when he signed a professional baseball contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at the team's spring training complex in Tempe, Arizona.

The Taylor University Athletic Department is hosting the tenth annual Odle Classic golf scramble on Friday, August 7th. The event will take place at Walnut Creek Golf Course in Upland, Indiana, followed by a reception in the Hodson Dining Commons on Taylor's campus.

Johnson Earns All-American Honors in 1500
Alyssa Johnson raced to fifth place in the 1500 meter run at the NAIA National Championships to earn All-American honors on Saturday. Johnson set a new school record in the process with a time of 4:35.20.

Tom Robertson placed 12th in the finals of the 3000-meter steeplechase at the 2009 NAIA National Championships as the Trojans tied for 27th place in the team race.

Baseball Survives, Defeats The Master's 5-4
A pair of hits by Paul Passiales and Michael Kraynak produced three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday as the Taylor University baseball team beat The Master's College 5-4 at the NAIA Championship Opening Round.
