Scholarships are a type of financial aid that does not need to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded to students based on merit – grades, ability, or talent. The following scholarships are available to our students.
Community Life Scholarship
Description: Students are nominated to apply for this scholarship based on their application for admission to Taylor. Once nominated, application instructions will be given.
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: Up to $3,000
Eligibility: Must be accepted to Taylor and demonstrate exceptional leadership experiences.
Application Deadline: February 15, 2012
Endowed Scholarships
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Must be enrolled full-time. Other additional requirements apply for each particular scholarship.
Eligibility: Must be a full-time student, a resident of Adams County Indiana, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and give evidence of strong Christian leadership and character.
Eligibility: Must be an Indiana resident, full-time student majoring in a business field, eligible for need-based aid, and have a personal relationship with Christ.
Eligibility: Must be a current Taylor student. Award given to top 10 students in each grade level who are not President, Dean, or Faculty Scholarship winners.
Art Scholarship
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Must be accepted to Taylor and a declared Art or Art Education major. Amount based on FAFSA.
Eligibility: Must be accepted to Taylor and demonstrate an exceptional athletic ability. Awards given by each athletic team.
President, Dean, Faculty and Trustee Scholarships
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: $4,000-$10,000
Eligibility: Incoming freshmen who meet the following ACT or SAT score and high school GPA receive the amount shown. SAT score is calculated by combining the Reading and Math portions of the test. Scholarship is renewable each year with a 3.2 Taylor GPA.

National Merit Finalist Scholarship
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: $10,000
Eligibility: Must be a National Merit Finalist. This award replaces either the President, Dean, or Faculty Scholarship.
Alspaugh - Hodson Family Scholarship
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: Up to $10,000
Eligibility: Must be an Indiana resident, full-time student majoring in Education, eligible for need-based aid, and have a personal relationship with Christ.
Description: Applicants for this award must be non-U.S. citizens. We believe these students will make distinct contributions and provide cultural enrichment as members and graduates of the Taylor community.
Type of Aid: Scholarship
Amount: Up to $7,000
Eligibility: Must be accepted to Taylor and demonstrate cultural diversity as described above.
Description: Every student brings to campus a unique and personal set of experiences and perspectives. In particular, the contributions from an individual’s cultural background or ethnic origin are important to the larger Taylor community. In keeping with its mission, the University desires to provide a program designed to recruit and retain students who are committed to diversity and have a passion for promoting awareness. We believe these students will make distinctive contributions and provide cultural enrichment as a member and graduate of the Taylor community. Applicants for this award may be American ethnic students, Americans who have lived in another country for an extended period of time or students intentionally engaged in a multi-ethnic community. The scholarship is determined during a student’s admission process and is overseen by Dereck Kamwesa.
