Scholarship Programs Through Taylor University


The following scholarships are available to students entering Fall 2009.  If you entered Taylor in prior years, please scroll down to the scholarship grids at the bottom of the page.

Academic Scholarships

There are no financial aid application forms required for Taylor's academic scholarships. They are awarded to ALL students who meet the specified criteria, and are renewable with a 3.2 GPA.

President's and Dean's Scholarships (for students entering Taylor Fall 2009)

President's and Dean's scholarships are automatically awarded to students with a high school GPA of 3.3 according to the following chart of SAT (Math & Reading scores only) and ACT scores. The scholarships are good for all four years provided the student maintains a college GPA of 3.2.

Academic Merit Award (for students entering Taylor Fall 2009)

Awarded to ALL National Merit Finalists. This award is in place of the President's Scholarship or Dean's Scholarship and is renewable with a 3.2 cumulative Taylor GPA..

  • Amount: $12,500

Class Merit Awards (for current Taylor students ONLY)

Awarded to top 10 students, ranked by cumulative GPA, in each grade level who are not already receiving the President's or Dean's Scholarship (sophomore-senior).

  • Amount: $1,500-$3,000

Art Scholarships

Applicant  must be accepted by Taylor and must have declared Art, Art Education, Visual Arts - Graphic Design or Visual Arts - Photography as his/her major in order to be eligible for an art scholarship.  Scholarship funds that require financial need are based on TU Financial Aid Office, determination of financial need (FAFSA must be filed).

Athletic, Music, Theatre Scholarships

To be eligible, students must demonstrate an exceptional ability in athletics, music, or theatre.  This scholarship is renewable with a 2.0 cumulative Taylor GPA and continued participation.

Christian Leadership Scholarship

To be eligible, the student must be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This scholarship is renewable with a 2.6 cumulative Taylor GPA and participation in campus leadership activities.

Amount: $6,500

Cultural Diversity Scholarships

Every student brings to campus a unique, personal set of experiences and perspectives. In particular, the contributions from an individual's cultural background or ethnic origin are important to the larger Taylor community. In keeping with its mission, the University desires to provide a program designed to recruit and retain students who are committed to diversity and have a passion for promoting awareness.  We believe these students will make distinctive contributions and provide cultural enrichment as a member, and graduate, of the Taylor community.  Applicants for this award may be American ethnic students, international students, Americans who have lived in another country for an extended period of time or students intentionally engaged in a multi-ethnic community.  We believe these students will make distinctive contributions and provide cultural enrichment as a member of the Taylor community. Contact Dereck Kamwesa at drkamwesa@taylor.edu for more information.

 


 

Reynolds Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for the Reynolds scholarship, students must be residents of Grant County (or Indiana), have been accepted by Taylor University as a full-time students, be eligible for financial aid, be pursuing a degree in a field that will lead to service in business or business administration, and give evidence of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dollars for Scholars

To be eligible, students must be a Dollars for Scholars recipient.

  • Amount: Match up to $500/student
  • Form: Matching form from Dollars for Scholars chapter

 


 

MK Scholarships
