The Taylor University Department of English invites undergraduates to submit papers or creative pieces to the fourth biennial William A. Fry Making Literature Conference. View the 2013 schedule here. Participants will hear from and interact with students from many universities and with three world-class authors and scholars:
BRET LOTT: New York Times bestselling author of thirteen books, including the novel Jewel and other novels, short stories, and nonfiction
HAROLD K. (HAL) BUSH: President of the Conference on Christianity and Literature and Author of books on Mark Twain and Abraham Lincoln
SUSANNA CHILDRESS: Author of Entering the House of Awe, Winner of the Brittingham Prize in Poetry

Critical Essay
- Any literature, any topic, any critical approach
- 6-10 pages double-spaced, MLA format
Creative Writing
- Poetry, Fiction, or Creative Nonfiction
- Suitable for a 15-minute reading
Currently enrolled undergraduate students
$75 (Limited free on-campus housing available)
Registration will open Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
$250 for best critical essay
