Christian Educational Ministries Department

Prepared through academics, relationship and discipleship

Do you feel the most alive when you are serving others in the church, at a camp or with another church related outreach program? Have ministry leaders encouraged you in your passion to learn more about the Bible and serve? If so, you should consider a degree in Christian Educational Ministries (CEM) from Taylor University.

Taylor’s CEM graduates have gone on to become pastors, youth pastors, CEM directors, church planters in missions and inner cities, Christian camp directors or have been involved in outreach programs like World Vision, Youth For Christ, Young Life, Navigators, Campus Crusade, and InterVarsity. Many graduates have gone on to graduate schools like Trinity Evangelical Divinity, Fuller Theological Seminary, Gordon-Conwell and many others.

Taylor’s CEM professors prepare you for multiple ministry settings by focusing not just on academics, but on relationships and a discipleship application. Our faculty pours into you and invests in you. You will be highly involved in ministries on and off campus, working with faculty and peers to serve those in our local and global communities. You will take a two-week Capstone trip with a CEM professor to a major metropolitan area to visit effective ministry sites, and you will have access to our experts in scripture engagement, which will allow you opportunities in training and research.
