Professional Writing majors graduate to begin their careers as freelance writers, staff journalists, fiction authors, playwrights, public relations writers, screenwriters, editors, novelists, literary agents, and more. Students take courses in the Professional Writing, English and Media Communication departments. At the completion of your degree, you’ll have a full portfolio of published work and a practicum experience.
