Biography

I taught at both the elementary and secondary levels in northern Indiana public schools for 13 years. It has been so inspiring to work with students and seeing them grow and thrive with their academics. The love of learning and particularly reading drive my passions as a teacher. I love teaching and working with learners to ensure their success in all areas of life, not just in the classroom. Teaching is more than delivering content to learners; it is creating bonds and enhancing skills as well as talents that sustain the learner beyond the learning process. Being the hands and feet of Christ in serving students is the foundation of teaching and my passion for being in the classroom.

God called me to Taylor to serve future teachers by sharing my experiences and expertise. What Taylor offers their students is special. Serving Christ in the classroom and now in the Education Department at Taylor is my calling. I am blessed to be a part of the Taylor family.

Hobbies

Spending time with my family. We enjoy jiu jitsu, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and all things outdoors. I love Stand Up Paddleboarding. SUP! I enjoy reading, gardening, and tending our trees and chickens. We work out as a family and strive to serve God in all we do.
