Center for Musical Development Offers Piano Lessons to Young Learners

Taylor University's Center for Musical Development (CMD) will offer piano lessons for local students ages 6 to 16 for the spring semester. No prior musical training is required. 

  • Lessons begin the week of February 6 and conclude the week of May 12 (13 weeks)  
  • Taylor students will offer lessons to beginning and returning students Monday through Friday between 3 and 8 pm in the Smith-Hermanson Music Center.
  • The cost is $8 per 30-minute lesson and $12 per 45-minute lesson. 

Piano lessons are also available from professional teachers and are open to all ages. The cost $13.50 per 30-minute lesson and $18 per 45-minute lesson from professional teachers. 

The Center for Musical Development is part of the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance. The CMD provides musical instruction to students from the surrounding community, giving Taylor students practical experience in teaching music to young learners.
