Taylor students are regularly engaged in outreach and service opportunities across the street and around the globe. Many take part in short-term mission trips during J-Term (Lighthouse) and Spring Break. There are a variety of international and domestic trips designed for students to use their gifts and talents in meeting the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of others. We encourage you to consider participating in what is often a life-changing missions experience during your time at Taylor.
As a Taylor student, you will find plenty of opportunities to learn and also plenty of opportunities to serve. Our Lighthouse program offers both. As part of this program, you will serve alongside other Taylor students and faculty in an international service-learning project, sharing Christ’s redemptive love and truth with a world in need.
Along with learning about another culture, you will have the chance to join what God is doing around the world and step out of your familiar faith setting. This is a great opportunity to develop and exercise your gifts and abilities, expand your global perspective, and explore your vocational calling.
Taylor offers a variety of mission trip opportunities during Spring Break. Spending the week showing the love of Christ with those in need gives students the chance to apply what they have been learning in the classroom. There are opportunities to serve both internationally and within the United States. Share your faith through business development, children’s ministry, construction work, teaching English, family ministry, and evangelism. Recent destinations included: Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Spain, Daytona Beach, and Indianapolis and Marion, Indiana.
