Visual Effects Artist, Emmy Award-winning producer, Headline Envision Film Festival

Taylor University will host the Envision Film Festival, March 5-7, 2015, featuring special guests, workshops and a screening/awards ceremony for the best film work of the year produced by Taylor’s Film and Media Production program.
The event’s special guests include Timothy Naylor, a 1994 Taylor graduate and visual effects artist. Naylor has worked on films such as Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers, Rango, The Lone Ranger, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Jack & the Giant Slayer and Evan Almighty.
Also featured is 2002 Taylor graduate Aric Hartvig, a producer at WFYI-PBS 20 in Indianapolis and winner of 11 regional Emmys for outstanding television production.
Free workshops will be available on the topics of visual effects, documentary storytelling, DSLR shooting, Steadicam operation and the RED Dragon digital cinematography camera. Guests of all ages are welcome to register for the March 6 workshops at www.envisionfilmfestival.com. The public is invited to attend the March 6 evening screening and awards presentation at 7:00 p.m., in Rediger Chapel/Auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 for general public and $3.00 for Taylor students.
The Envision Film Festival honors Taylor University filmmakers and aspiring high school filmmakers whose visual storytelling explores the range of human experience with hopeful vision, artistry, truthfulness and integrity.
