Dorms Open Today Ahead of Winter Storm
Taylor University officials say residence halls are open if students returning for second semester want to travel today. An approaching winter storm is expected to dump between 9-12 inches of snow on Upland, Grant County and much of Central Indiana. The storm is expected to start tonight and could continue into Monday.
At this time, classes are expected to begin on schedule Monday. Last winter, Taylor officials cancelled classes and closed offices three times, but it was in response to local authorities' requests that motorists stay off the roads.
Taylor Campus Police and Administration members are watching the situation closely and will provide updates as they become available.
