The following performances and recitals comprise the remainder of the Taylor Department of Music, Theatre and Dance's music performance schedule for the month of April. 

Lecture Recital:  Sacred Art Song 1900-2016

The 2016 Faculty Mentored Undergraduate Scholarship Fund and a 2016 fall sabbatical provided TU faculty member Dr. Patricia Robertson and student researchers the opportunity to examine over 2000 sacred arts songs. Please join Dr. Robertson along with friends, colleagues, and undergraduate singers as they present selected art songs with sacred texts in this free lecture recital.

The Taylor Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance invites you to enjoy a free Grandparents Day Concert presented by the Taylor Ringers and theTaylor Symphony Orchestra on Friday afternoon, April 28, at 4:00 pm in Rediger Chapel/Auditorium. Selections to be performed by the Ringers include Beauty and the Beast arranged by Douglas Wagner, Sesame Street arranged by Michael Glasgow, and Sacred Silence arranged by Carissa Dennis. Fantasy on an Irish Tune by Arnold Sherman, Capriccio Espagnol by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and Simple Symphony, Op. 4 by Benjamin Britten are some of the Symphony Orchestra pieces on the program.

Spring Noel

Taylor University Chorale & Taylor Sounds Spring Concert

The Taylor University Chorale and Taylor Sounds will be hosting a musical celebration Spring Noel on Saturday, April 29, at 7:30 pm in Rediger Chapel/Auditorium. Joining them will be Taylor alumnus Celby Hadley, the Taylor Gospel Choir, Woodlan High School Warrior Ambition Show Choir directed by Taylor alumnus Kyle Romine, and Northside Elementary Sixth Grade Choir from Hartford City directed by Michelle Bade. Also featured on the program will be highlights from a recent ministry trip to Greece taken by members of the Taylor Sounds and the Taylor Playback Theatre.
