Visca Catalunya! A Celebration of songs by Catalán Composers of the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries will be presented in the Butz Carruth Recital Hall on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 12:00 pm. Featured performers will be guest artist Isai Jess Muñoz, tenor, and Tyler Wottrich, pianist.
The first annual Grant County High School Honor Band will join the Taylor University Wind Ensemble to present a concert on Thursday, March 15, at 7:00 pm, in the Rediger Chapel/Auditorium on the Taylor campus. Selected students from all five Grant County public high school bands - Eastbrook, Marion, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, and Oak Hill - will participate. Taylor invites the community to this free concert.

Taylor University Lyric Theatre will present Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic musical masterpiece The Pirates of Penzance in the Butz Carruth Recital Hall on February 2 and 3 at 8:00 pm and February 4 at 2:00 pm. The story follows a band of Pirates who clash with an English Major General and seek to marry his many daughters.
The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra (IJO) will present a free concert on Monday, January 15, at 7:30 pm, in the Rediger Chapel/Auditorium. The IJO concert will be held in connection with Taylor University’s 2018 daylong celebration of the federal holiday honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Taylor University music student Clara Loisch received Honorable Mention in the state round of the Young Artist Performance Woodwind category of the 2017 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) competition held at Ball State University.
