The Taylor University Department of Biology will present BioLogos – The Harmony Between Science and Biblical Faith: The Lost World of Adam and Eve Genesis 2 & 3 on Saturday, October 31, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The presentation features Dr. John Walton, Old Testament Professor from Wheaton College and BioLogos scholar and advisor. It will be held in Room 109 of the Euler Science Complex on the Taylor campus.

In addition to his faculty work, Walton is an editor and writer of Old Testament comparative studies and commentaries. Throughout his research, Walton has focused his attention on comparing the culture and literature of the Bible and the ancient Near East. He has published dozens of books, articles and translations, both as writer and editor. His latest books are The Lost World of Scripture: Ancient Literary Culture and Biblical AuthorityThe Lost World of Genesis One: Ancient Cosmology and the Origins Debate and The Lost World of Adam and Eve: Genesis 2-3 and the Human Origins Debate.

“We are really looking forward to Dr. Walton’s visit and presentation,” said Dr. John Moore, Professor of Biology at Taylor. “Many of us within Christ-centered higher education have long viewed Biblical teaching and scientific study not as adversarial, but instead as harmonious.”
