Taylor University’s After School Art program begins in October and is open to elementary students in grades K-6.
Lessons will cover topics and media selected by each teacher. They will be taught by Taylor Art Education majors and supervised by Professor Kathy Herrmann. The program runs for four consecutive Tuesdays – Oct. 13, Oct. 20, Oct. 27, and Nov. 3, from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
An art exhibit of the students’ work will take place Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:00 p.m.
The lessons and exhibit will be held in the Modelle Metcalf Visual Arts Center. The cost is $10.00. Organizers say the classes are expected to fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
