I graduated from Houghton College in 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications, and a minor in Vocal Performance. While at my undergrad, I co-lead the gospel choir for two years and interned in the Admissions Office, and I would say that these two experiences played a huge role in my decision to pursue a Masters in Higher Education. Houghton shaped me to be a great communicator with a passion for listening and learning for others. While working in Gerig and Breuninger Hall, I hope to have intentional relationships with the students while challenging them to step out of their comfort zones, as I too step out of mine.
I am a native of the island of Barbados located in the Caribbean and I have lived there all my life. I have three older siblings, two who reside back home in Barbados and one who lives in Arizona. Being an international student in this Residence Life role gives me the opportunity to share my culture and past experiences through a different lens. It also allows for new insights and experiences to occur. Overall, I am excited for the work God will do through me and my residents both in Gerig and Breuninger Hall. In my free time I enjoy swimming, hanging in my hammock`, photography, baking and getting to know others.
