Some of the most impactful, thought-provoking, challenging, growing, and rewarding events in my life happened in college, and many of those occurred outside the classroom. These experiences aligned with skill sets and passions have led me to pursue a career in higher education at Taylor University.
Currently I serve as the Graduate Assistant for Men’s Programming (BroPro) while also studying in the MAHE (Master of Arts in Higher Education) program. With 2013-2014 being my 2nd and final year in both positions I am pretty pumped for what this year has to bring! Working with the BroPro staff to engage and challenge the men on campus will definitely leave its mark on me. I just hope I will be able to do an equal amount of good for the students of Taylor University.
I hail from the great Northwest, Washington state to be exact. Growing up in a beautifully lush rural area led to my biggest passion – God’s creation. I went from Washington to Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. Azusa is where much of the change I’ve recently experienced happened. In that city, I fell in love with ministering to God’s creation—that creation being anything from college students, villagers in Mexico, to nature. Loving on, serving, and protecting God’s creation is one of my deepest callings and I find I am able to engage with that in a University setting, while hiking every chance I get.
