Admissions Counselor / Coordinator of Ethnic and International Recruitment
I'm the Coordinator of Ethnic and International Recruitment and have the privilege to work with students from a variety of backgrounds which is one of the reasons I love my job so much. I am originally from Kenya, a country on the Eastern coast of Africa, and have lived in the states for just over a decade. We came to the states as missionaries and have lived in a few different areas in the country. My parents currently reside in Columbus, Ohio, but I have had the opportunity of being here at Taylor in Indiana for almost seven years now and I can't tell you how great and close knit this second family is.
I graduated with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Public Relations and I truly deem it an honor to represent Taylor and guide you through this seemingly complex yet fairly simple admission process. My desire is to be here for you in answering any and every question. If you've interviewed with me you've heard me say that even if I don't know the answer, I know where to find it, so please don't hesitate to ask. My job is to be available to you as you sift through all the applications, essays, scholarships, and more and wisely and faithfully make a college decision.
Taylor is truly an intentional community where many have come to call home and continue to do so long after they have left. We are a Christ-centered institution and it's our desire to live everyday striving to live as Christ would. As a student I saw this done in so many ways such as small groups, intramurals sports, chapel, Taylathon, mission trips, study abroad, and more.
Those who know me would tell you that I could talk for days and when it comes to Taylor it's certainly true, so I'll cut it short here and allow you to ask questions. I earnestly look forward to hearing from you and will do my best to answer your questions promptly.
