Why I came to Taylor:
I came to Taylor because of the community ethos, the manner in which the Holy Spirit works to shape the lives of women and men into the image of Christ. I am a Taylor alum and upon returning to Taylor have been so pleased and impressed with the caliber of students at Taylor: academically, spiritually, and missionally.
Advice to incoming students:
I would advise incoming freshman to take their time narrowing their interests. Read broadly and enjoy the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of subjects in the liberal arts tradition. I would suggest that students act intentionally to form relationships beyond their own social and ethnic groups and take every opportunity to expose themselves to a wide variety of cultural resources. While this may include offerings like international study or urban immersions, it is most important to cross lines of division in places like the dorm hall and dining commons.
