EDU 570: Technology Integration in the Classroom
Audience: K-12 grade teachers
Teachers will explore the integration of technology in the classroom that effectively helps students meet learning objectives.
- Software tools will be used to create both learning activities and classroom management tools
- Readings on current research in technology will be assigned daily
- Homework will include the use of software tools, online discussions and a final paper

EDU 570: Response to Literature
Audience: K-6 grade teachers
Teachers will explore various activities and projects that promote response to literature.
- Teachers will participate in a mock book award, author studies, and literature circles
- Teachers will explore many children's books published 2010-2011
- Teachers will create artifacts that promote discussion
- Homework might include reading various children's literature

EDU 570: Creating Problem Based Learning Units
Audience: 3-12 grade teachers
Teachers will learn the principles of designing Problem Based Learning Units that promote cross discipline thematic learning.
- Current research will be used to suggest best practice with PBL
- Teachers will design a unit ready to be used in the classroom
- Appropriate technologies needed to facilitate PBL units will be explored
- Daily readings and a final paper will be assigned
