Intramurals

Taylor University Intramurals is a great way to get involved while staying active in recreational, competitive and holistic activities available for all students, faculty, and staff.

Playing intramural sports is a great way to stay active, reduce stress, socialize with friends, and meet new people. Our Campus Recreation and Intramural Program provides recreational, competitive, and holistic activity for all students, faculty, and staff. In order to promote the importance of overall well-being and Christ-like character, our goal is to help build strong relationships among the Taylor University community.

Throughout campus, intramural participation is high. Nearly half the student body participate in intramurals at some point during their time at Taylor; many participate in several sports. If you’re looking for an easy way to connect with others, intramurals are a great way to get involved on campus.

Along with fun with friends, intramurals also offer a great opportunity for leadership and growth. Students who desire to lead as captain can form a team. Current Taylor students, as well as faculty, staff, and their spouses, are eligible to compete. Current academic year intercollegiate athletes may not participate in their respective sport or related sport (i.e., Taylor baseball team players are ineligible for intramural softball), although they may participate in unrelated sports as cleared by coaching staff. Most teams are generally from floors, wings, or halls on campus; however, faculty and staff, and off-campus student teams are also common and encouraged. Team competition is in a league format.

Intramurals offer something for everyone:
