Richard Allen Farmer is Fall 2012 Spiritual Renewal Week Speaker

Evangelist, songwriter, and former Taylor University Dean of the Chapel, Dr. Richard Allen Farmer will be the featured speaker for Taylor University’s Fall Spiritual Renewal Week series, which begins Monday.

Farmer holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Nyack College (1975) and Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary (1980). He also holds honorary doctorate degrees from Gordon College and Houghton College.

In addition to his tenure at Taylor University (1999-2002), Farmer served as Senior Pastor of the Bethany Baptist Church in Pittsburgh (1980-1988) and Dean of the Chapel at Gordon College (1988-1992).

“Richard Allen Farmer continues to be a treasured member of the Taylor family,” said Randy Gruendyke, Taylor’s Campus Pastor. “His heartfelt song leadership and incisive preaching are regularly used by the Lord to strengthen our community at every level.”

Farmer has spoken, lectured or given concerts in England, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Peru, Chile, Cote d' lvoire, Kenya, Canada, the Philippines and most of the United States.

All services are in the Rediger Chapel/Auditorium. The public is welcome.
