Empty Bowls, an annual soup cook-off by members of the Taylor community, will be held Wednesday, November 15, in the Alspaugh East and West Rooms at the Hodson Dining Commons from 5:30-7:30 pm. Chili and soup recipes from members of the Taylor community are served in bowls created by Taylor art students. The event allows students, staff and community to gather and purchase the options of handmade ceramic bowls filled with soup, just soup or just the bowl.
A traveling South African art exhibit will be hosted on the Taylor University campus beginning next week. Between the Shadow & the Light, will be displayed in the Metcalf Gallery of the Modelle Metcalf Art Building on the Taylor campus from November 1-December 8. Featured artists Margaret Allotey-Pappoe, Keith Barker, and Jo-AnnVanReeuwyk will attend a reception and present an artist's panel discussion on Friday, November 10.
Taylor University's Art Department is offering group Art lessons for students in grades 1-6. Taylor Art Education and Pre-Art Therapy majors will teach weekly classes.

The Taylor University Art Department will host an Art Camp June 12-15 in the Modelle Metcalf Visual Arts Center. The camp is designed for students in grades K – 12 and gives students an opportunity to experience visual arts through hands on activities including drawing, painting, and mixed media.
