Advice to Incoming Students:

Learn to take good lecture notes so you have good study material.  Do the assigned reading and ask for reading tips.  Do not be afraid to ask your professors for help - ask early and ask often!  Embrace the Core Curriculum and open your mind to learning all kinds of new things.
