Major Career Accomplishments:
My best accomplishments are students: the general education students who never had (or lost) a love of literature but found (or regained) it in my class, the English majors who thought they didn't like Jane Austen or didn't understand poetry but whose minds changed in my class. In addition to papers and poems, I've published the first English translation of an early book by Rainer Maria Rilke, one of my favorite poets.
