"Living in Olson Hall has given me the chance to develop relationships with so many wonderful girls. You are constantly surrounded by people that are committed to growing closer in their walk with God." - Rachel Clemens '06

Deanna Ingerham, Olson Hall DirectorDeanna Ingerham

My name is Deanna Ingerham, and I serve as the Olson Hall Director.  I graduated from Taylor University in 2003, where I studied Psychology and participated in the Irish Studies Program.  After graduating, I served as a Hall Director at Malone College, attended Wheaton College Graduate School, and earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology.  I am excited to be back at Taylor, serving in such a unique role as Hall Director.  My passion is to see college women experience their relationship with Christ and their relationships deepen with each other.  The Assistant Hall Director and I, with sixteen Personnel Assistants, are here to see true covenant community take place in Olson Hall.  This happens through laughter, learning, intramurals, prayer, wing activities - basically, living life together.

A little about me, I love coffee - both the beverage itself and the opportunity it gives for conversation with others.  I enjoy road trips, spontaneity, jogging, walks, canoeing, hiking, and reading.  I take pleasure in being outside in God's creation and enjoy spending time near/on bodies of water (including Taylor Lake).

Beth Buchwalter, Olson Assistant Hall Director

My name is Beth Buchwalter, and I serve as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director of Olson. I am a 2008 graduate of Taylor University with a B.A. in Communication Studies.  During my time at Taylor, I had a wide range of experiences from participating as an intercollegiate athlete on the Taylor Women's Basketball Team to serving on the Taylor Student Organization's executive cabinet as VP of Media and Marketing Services.

The latest of my experiences was studying abroad in Ecuador for Spanish and living with a church host family.  Not only did I learn the language quickly, I also experienced a new culture that gave me insight into how the body of Christ functions outside of the United States.  I am excited to be a part of the Taylor community once again, as I earn my M.A. in Higher Education and Student Development in Taylor's Graduate Program.   Personally, I am a fan of long talks/walks, photography excursions, the outdoors, and pick-up games of just about anything.

As a former Olson resident, it is my constant goal to see the women of Olson develop a stronger relationship with Christ though the practices of community and study, as they take steps toward a new and exciting phase of their lives.  I am thrilled to see what God has in store for our community as we learn and grow from one another this year and in the years to come.
